Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Complete assessments of clients using formal and informal tools to identify strengths and areas for treatment and to diagnose psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders within scope of practice

  2. Create and implement treatment plans for clients and as appropriate their caregivers that encourage overall well-being and functional outcomes

  3. Provide therapy based on the treatment plan

  4. Provide guidance, education, consultation to the clients, their caregivers and other professionals to optimize outcomes and carryover

  5. Attend regularly scheduled team meetings to discuss policies and operational guidelines, caseload management, opportunities for improvement, and ideas for future services

  6. Partner with the other members of the Come Play, STL team to customize a treatment plan, coordinate services, implement best practices, provide consistency to clients and ensure the best possible outcome.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Must be in compliance with federal, state and local requirements specifically

  • Must have completed a Graduate degree in Social Work or Counseling Field from an accredited college or university

  • Must have or be willing to obtain current CPR and first aid certification (Heartsaver First Aid and CPR or Basic Life Support).

  • Have pediatric experience

Abilities and Skills: 

  • Professional oral and written communication and excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and coworkers

  • Ability to meet the needs of a varied client population therapeutically and sensitively

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational and prioritization aptitude

  • Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in client and staff matters

  • Physical demands require clinicians to continually walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
